Expanding the sound of an orchestra beyond its acoustic boundaries.

The Augmented Orchestra (AO) is a sonic experience of a real-world orchestra whereby the sounds produced by the orchestra are "augmented" by computer-controlled processes across multiple modalities including tone, amplitude, dynamics, location and environment. The augmented sonic information is seamlessly interwoven with the physical orchestra such that it is perceived as a natural extension of the source, and a fundamental component of the composition itself.
